Excal,

For a Quick Fuel Q-850, you're looking at around $625 + shipping. These are basically drag race carbs, no chokes, billet metering blocks, mechanical secondaries, jet extensions, etc.

On your engine, I would probably go with a Victor FE if you're going to be doing a lot of road racing.

On Mark's engine, a Victor Jr would be ideal in my opinion...427 cubic inches is enough volume to tame down a single plane intake.
