Question Any tips for repairing a leather seat on daily driver?

My daily driver is a 1999 Acura 3.2TL with 202K miles. The car still runs great, so I decided to finally replace the broken rear view mirror and replace the carpet floor mats.

The leather interior is in great shape, except for a small area on the seam (3" long with a max gap of 3/16" on the seam) on the vertical side panel on the driver's side seat.

Does anyone have any tips or recommendations about the best way to repair the seam and/or at least prevent it from tearing any more?

Thanks.
