I did check with my friend and the above stated prices are what he told me. But so far as you living right next to the
oil wells and should get it cheaper, I live 7 miles from Shasta Lake and our water rates are higher than many places far from any water supply. Also several years ago a friend of mine that owned a boat shop here used a lot of top grade plywood and we had a mill in Anderson, about 15 miles South of here. He used to go to Los Angles to get parts and was looking at their plywood and it was made in Anderson and he could buy it there for about 1/2 of what they charged him here at the mill. So he started hauling a big load back every month when he made his monthly trip down there. So living close to a supply of anything doesn't mean you are going to get it cheaper.
