Default Fix it properly

Hi Merv if you want to fix it properly you will have to put bronze or nylon bushes in the hinge with a thrust washer at the bottom. the other option is to grease them fully it should stop any real wear . the mounting plate has rivnuts for the bolts to go into which sit proud of the upright if you put a packing strip either side of where the bolt goes thru it will stop the plate rocking and walking out of adjustment.
I also enlarge the holes in the body so that it give a range of adjustment and lets the door open fully. on some cars i build i even put a stop on the hinge so it does not hit against the body and damage paint.
