Quite a serious issue here. Even though I don't have a padded bar, I should know better. Back in '85, my ex-wife was seriously injured when she crashed her Jeep CJ and hit her head on her unpadded roll bar. Even though she appeared to recover (she experienced short term memory loss for several days), she was never quite the same after the accident (I'm not being a smart ass here). Probably better off without any roll bar on these cars, as a turnover is quite rare. The best bet would be a padded bar with a SNELL rated helmet. That bar can kill you.
