I bought my previous set of tyres from tirerack and was amazed at their serivce also, as well as their competitive pricing. I bought 16"x8" & 16"x10" tryes which are next to impossible to get here.
Recently, I have been looking for some 17" Kumho KU36s (Ecsta XS in USA), much the same as boxhead (above). The quote was similar to boxheads as well:
245/45R17 KU ECSTA XS 137.00 USD
Rim Width Range 7.50 to 9.00
275/40R17 KU ECSTA XS 157.00 USD
Rim Width Range 9.00 to 11.00
FED ECONOMY (3-5 DAYS) - $ 240.27 USD
I did a bit of searcing locally and with the dollar the way it is, I have managed to source these tyres from Option 1 Garage in Brisbane (
http://www.option1garage.com.au/) for about AUD$50 less than the complete quote from tirerack.
Doesn't take away from their great service though. The exchange rate is not their fault!!
