I have the 392 crate rated at 438 hp mated with a Tremec TKO. I had it dyno'd on a Mustang chassis dyno.

The best pull was 291 hp, 305 ft/#'s. I had heard that this dyno was about 10% low, which would give me 320 hp at the rear wheels.

Then it would be a 36% power train loss to get to 438 as advertised.

I wasn't suprised at the numbers, I ( thinking like Tim Allen ) thought it would have been higher.

Oh, and don't try a progressive nitrous system, waste of money, it only gave me 25 more hp, it flooded the system and blew black smoke everywhere. No wonder I did not notice a huge power increase when on!

My $ 23 switch is in to replace the progressive.

Back to 500 hp range!!!
Which cam was that I need, and is that the Victor Jr heads I need to buy?
