Besides the weight difference, assuming posted figures are correct, you should peruse the details of the both the Shelby and Pond blocks like thicker decks and
oil pan rails, billet steel caps, priority main oiling (CSX), etc., uh, and it's a 427, not a 428.
Just remember, there's around a 500 pound total difference between our cars.
