I agree be carefull with the super low priced lifts, yes they work but you better know what to check and when. For example make sure the collars holding you sheives in place are tight (set screw) one slowly backs off over time and lets the pulley slide off and bang let goes outward, car goes downward not pretty. I forget who had a nice one where there was two pieces of angle iron trapping the locking mechanism. Nice thing about my cheapo is all the made in china bolts are grade 2, good thing about that is nobody would ever imitate that!!!!! If you are mechanically inclinded and know what to look for as failures it still aint worth it, buy a good one $2-$3K and be done with it. If I had to do it again I would easily spend $3K for as much as I use mine.
