Default what spline are you running now?

ChrisL Chris CWI used to have a kit for converting over from 27 stub shafts to 30 spline. I have had jeeps my whole life and know that there are 4 different carriers for the Dana 44 housing or Salibury Jag. This is what I did to my rearend to convert to a 30 spline setup. I brought a 30 spline locker for series 2 gears. 307-373 ratio. I got a detroit locker for mine. I have 3.31 gears. The holes in the locker nedded to get enlarged because of the different size bolts for the ring gears. You can drill or mill the holes in the carrier. I got the stub shafts and seals from CWI. cost $900.00 about 12 years ago. Here's the only catch I found, CWI was having the shafts made downunder. The metal was not of correct hardness. CWI ended up going to Mark Williams for there axles. The only thing I will tell you is to add a rear cap support for the carrier caps from LPW. Get a set of 200 wear thread tires and you will not break this rearend. Adding slicks, you are looking at breakage. I have a 600ft pound motor on the rearend that is 12 years old. Have had to replace the seals on the r/s once. No 5 grand hole shots. The rest is easy. Rick L.
