Default Kane County Sheriff's Car Show - Just south of Elburn, IL

Pat Perez, the Kane County Sheriff and local car guy (he drives an early 70s Torino), is hosting his 4th annual car show at the Martin Family Farm on Green Rd, between Main St. and Rt. 47 (just south of Elburn) on Saturday, September 4 (rain date is 9/5). Registration begins at 9:00 and the show runs until 3:00 pm. Judging will take place and there are numerous awards and prizes. Cost per displayed car is $10 (spectators get free parking and admission) and proceeds go to C.A.S.A ("Court Appointed Special Assistants"), which is a group dedicated to providing support to abused and neglected children in the County's juvenile justice system.

I'm planning on displaying my Factory Five roller without the body and would welcome any other replicas interested in attending to join me. If I can give the Sheriff a count of cars prior to the event, he'll give us a dedicated place (hopefully somewhere prominent).

The Martins put on a great show at their farm, which has a huge grass field and some hilly areas with surrounding trees. Do a search on "country car show" to see pictures of the grounds - that's another event put on by the Martin Family. If we have enough cars, I might be able to lobby for the shadier setting.

More information is available at kanesheriff.com on the "events" tab.

Hope to see a bunch of you out there.
