It was the centre piece which holds the dragway spinner on that caused the problem. It was tight over the wheel bearing hub jamming the wheel on.

I've never liked these centres as the only way to make them secure other than what I tried to do is to silicone them in, which is a pain should you need to get tyres balanced.
