I don't recall ever seeing an ERA with an electric fan installed with "ties" in front of the radiator. All of the installations of a single electric fan that I am aware of have been on the back side of the radiator.

Alsom switching the wires can change the direction of the airflow. I would make the simple switch of putting the fan on the back side of the radiator and making sure that it is "pulling" rather than "pushing" air.

Do you have another fan on the back side of the radiator?
