And a keyed switch isn't? The inherent simplicity of a momentary push-to-start switch is probably much less likely to fail statistically than the keyed switch if wired properly to the starter contactor and protected by a diode.

Mine will have a push-to-start switch but I haven't paged through the Digikey catalog yet to find the right one.
