Well I read his post 3 times and for some reason kept seeing his hose diameter as 1/4 not 3/4...lol. If he followed my advice he would have a 1 1/2 hose on there..lol. 3/4 hose is fine and Rick is right on when he talks about a catch can. On the circle track cars we dont run a catch can but we also dont have the heat build up like your talking about. I never thought the heat build up...but I would think it would make a difference. I would look at the baffle design and make sure its not letting lube pool anywhere. He might need to go to a catch can set up.
