Actually, by the end of the trip, I broke 3 rockers total. Two on the right, one on the left. None of the rockers show significant wear. Just a clean snap with no debri anywhere. When we heard the change in performance, we pulled over immediataly.

Oil Pumps, said it's a pure design flaw. He was surprised they lasted that long, 4500 miles. Racers were breaking them earlier, while guys who only drove low miles didn't have problems. The only common pattern was they broke during a second run after the engine cooled down after a long run (longer than 100 miles). All three were within 300 miles. It was like they hit their life expectancy. I've made 200 mile runs before this trip.
Doug is going to replace everything, except the shaft, for free. Rockers, shims, stands nuts and spacers. The new rocker design is significantly thicker. Even though he doesn't work for the original company any more. That's a real stand up guy.
