Interesting point raised regarding width.
I've seen a 5.4 and a 4.6 shoehorned in. I've also seen a SuperCharger on a 5.4 and the problem was the SC's clerance (10mm clerance I think). Engine was a out of a Shelby 5.4L Mustung, and the car was an SPF.
If memory severs, it was Colin and Keith at CTC in Waragul performed this transplant.
But if you have 3" to play with, then it sounds like you have some play.
All reports thus far have the new alloy 5.0L at the same size as the 5.4. Smallish sized block but with massive heads.
I haven't seen any figures, just read size comparisons.
At any rate the new 5.0L should help "return the ballace in the force" Or should I say it's the "return of the Jedi"
That should stir the pot...
