Hey Liam sitting in the yard with a tarp over it for years isn't such a bad thing. It gave the glass time to shrink and settle. In the old days blokes used to leave their 'new' fibreglass replacement panels (guards bonnets etc) out in the sun for a few weeks to shrink , harden and 'set'. This 'time' allowed any crows feet or spider cracks to show their ugly heads before preparation and painting . I met a bloke up here that was building a GT40 and left the front bonnet up whilst he did other stuff. The glass was green and when he finally shut the bonnet it didn't fit anymore. It had sagged on the hinges under it's own weight. He was lucky. he strapped it down tight with seat belts and it almost came back to specs.
