I watched the first show, my thoughts are not unlike what has been posted. First, it is missing some humor for sure, and the whit that the UK show has is missing because you have to be of a certain age and experience to have it. You just have to have some class, coolness and silliness that a more experienced person would have. I am not even 40, and I feel like the guys on the USA version are kids. I cannot stand Tanner, I think he just lacks maturity and experience to pull any program off and maybe he actually can, but the perception is he is a "kid" and they are children playing with cars. I see Tanner and I cringe.

For this program to succeed, espescially on the History channel, it has to be a show that has cars, but a show that is clearly not about cars. This is a formula that the Brit car show has which keep everyone interested, yes, us car guys love it - but so can my wife, the in-laws and co-workers who do not care about cars at all. They laugh, they think its funny and I don't think this trio can pull it off. You need to place someone in the mix who really understands cars, but has the smart whit of crazy insane humor. A Chevy Chase who has a Jay Leno understanding of cars; and I don't see how this trio can pull it off espescially with the expectations of the Brit version being so high.
