Hi Dave, i have 17' on mine with the stock Vz Front and VE rear brakes but with Racebrakes high coefficient pads.
I find that i have to set my bias a fair way to the front to stop the rears locking up first. One day am planning on upgrading the front brake to AP disc/calipers. I didnt figure on doing the rears as it seems they have enough stopping power. Unless of course you'd like to do it for the cool look.
I must admit I havent been on the track yet with my stock brakes to see how they would fair so cant comment on their durability. I am planning to do so at Shelbyfest in march.
But so far under quite a few hard stops they dont seem to get too warm.
Have fun
Rgds
