What a great thread.
The Cobra always got plenty of attention, and you get used to waving at kids on the motorway...and hearing whistles...getting the "Thumbs Up " as you drive by etc.
Took my Mum for a drive through Surfers Paradise, ...she asked why everyone was tooting horns and waving...
Told her that they must have heard she was visiting the Gold Coast, and they were all excited about seeing her !!!
We have plenty of chances to "Show off" in the Cobras here, so we get plenty of head turning ......the weather is great, and plenty to do.
We did the drivers parades for many years at the Gold Coast Indy...Loads of fun !

I know EXACTLY what that means....
I had my Black and Yellow " Bumblebee" for 6 years and drove it approximately 140,000 kilometers (
87,500 miles ) in that time.
Nothing better than after a crappy day...getting home, and disappearing in the Cobra for an hour or so.
Tried to drive it almost every day...
Some BIG trips up and down Australia...race meetings...car shows etc. etc.
Loved it, and miss it a great deal.
Sold it almost 2 years ago, to build
the new one...
It's almost finished , and I'm busting to get back on the road again.
In the mean time , I've been getting my Cobra "Fix" in my track Cobra...

Terrific fun,but really miss the trips on the open road.
My Butt has gone soft !!!!....need to get back on the road again !!
