Announcing the 2011 LCS Raffle Car:
The Original: Dick Smith’s CSX 3035
As a tribute to the late Dick Smith, this year’s LCS raffle car is a replica of Dick’s famous Competition Cobra, CSX 3035, otherwise known as “The Winningest 427 Cobra” and Number 198. Along with winning numerous races, Dick set the all-time top speed record in a Cobra roadster, being clocked at 198 mph on the road course at Daytona in 1967.
The Replica: Factory Five Racing Mark IV
The raffle car will be FFR Mk4 complete kit with IRS option, assembled by the Ohio Cobra Club (and anyone else who wants to help). The drivetrain is a 427 center oiler mated to a Tremec 3550 5-speed transmission. Dyno graph coming soon
