Hummmmm, "Aerospace", I like that. I must admit that those clecos on my hood scoop were actually a test program for NASA. The study was about the movement of air around fixed objects ( clecos) VS the straight line air movement over the scoop. I am sure that you all have seen the "fences" on an airliners wing, those are the small 1 1/2"x 1 1/2" aluminum pieces on the top of the wings. They direct the air flow over the wing. Well, the clecos were installed to study the effect of the air over the scoop and unto the windshield. We had hoped that they would redirect the flow of air and thus reduce the amount of bugs that hit the windshield.
