Hi SDR,
9' 3" and I had a garage door specialist come in and change the track to run up against the ceiling, that gave me 2+ feet of additional clearance when the door is up so that I could keep the door open when I was working under the car with the door open and the a car raised.
I am 5'9" and can stand under the car with the door open and the car lifted. I also have a air compressor in the left corner and an air donut lift for when I want to work on the wheels.
The Back yard buddie has a center section that allows for loads to lift the car when you want to to suspension/wheel work. I also have the wheels that allow you to roll the lift around, take a look at the BB web site.
