Shelby:The Man The Car The Legend is the book. On Jan. 27th,
producers Ridley & Tony Scott made their announcement. It looks like
their take will not be a bio but more a generic look at LeMans racing in '50s & '60s, and a drama, not a documentary approach. One pundit called it "Mad Men on Wheels."
time frame?They got lots of films in the works now...
Rival Wolfgang Petersen ("Das Boot") also announced a TV series on historic LeMans called "Kings of Speed" but his will also include underground car culture of Southern California.
