NASCAR is more of a show or entertainment event than it is an automobile racing series so this is just one more step in the direction of total control by the governing body. I now only watch a NASCAR "race" on Sunday afternoon when I have nothing else to do.

Why can't they allow the teams to build their own race cars subject to safety rules, a minimum weight restriction, and an engine displacement limit? Oh sorry, that would allow the teams to actually build and race cars that are not totally controlled by NASCAR.

Who is more fake, WWE or NASCAR? Can someone start a poll?
