I was a bit confused until I researched the turkey pan further. That's where I found out that the top edge of the pan is not vertical; rather, it is rolled outward until it is horizontal. I can now see why #10 was perfect.

Thanks for posting on this, DougD.....now I plan on researching a turkey pan for the 5.0 HO motor in my 427 body style Cobra replica (but, first, a change of intake maniflod/carb is in order).
