Yes the trunk is molded in the body, but if you do a cross brace like Rosco did this may move the tank forward so you might have to cut some of the vertical area out of the trunk for the filler hose to fit. But Rosco can give you more info on that. I ended up with around an inch & a half between the trunk and the shock towers.
