Just curious Brent...

Did you inspect the area around that aftermarket expansion freeze plug in the 360 block? I've seen those used trying to reseal some freeze damage. Sometimes it's accompanied by a hair line crack radiating from the hole. I don't know that I wouldn't hit it with a rotary wire brush and do a little dye penetrant check. I'm sure you've considered all that though...

Questions on the block...

Are you going to cross-bolt the block? The 360s didn't have the HD block webbing like a few of the 390 GTs, 428 service blocks and the 428 solid flat-tappet motors. All the 360s were hydraulic flat tappet motors. Since you're going to be twisting this pretty hard aren't you a tad worried about bottom end stability? Hasn't someone come up with a FE bottom girdle? I seem to recall it required machining the tops of the main caps.
