when I got insurance on my Cobra, it was done over the phone with my insurance company. They never asked me for a copy of the title nor have they ever ask me for a copy of the title for any car or truck I have. I just told them what it was and it was done. All I had to do is show my insurance card, not the title, to the state inspector and the only thing that was done is a safety inspection. Done.
