I don't know west coast weather, but that would make the decision for me. If I thought I could have a dry trip with only one day stuck in a motel waiting for the rain to pass, I'd go for it. But if there were a 60% chance of rain every day, I'd ship it. The cost isn't going to be much different either way, but driving a big engine Cobra in the rain is not my idea of fun.
