Being under when driveline is in motion is scarry. What I'd suggest is cleaning the suspected area with ZEP or Brakeclean. Drive the car a ways and then jack it up and look it over. I work heavey mobile equipment and this is a common problem. Loose pinion bearings,bad seals or installations, gaskets, andthe easiest to fix is grease flowing down the splines and out the pinion yoke nut.
