Default LS1 Steam vent hose routing

Hey guys,

I am looking for ideas on alternate ways to route the LS1 steam vent hose from the heads.

Currently I have a largish header tank and the hose vents into this tank. I am looking to replace the header tank with an inline filler (simple and neat in appearance) and looking for options for the steam vent hose routing.

I have seen many options such as tapping into the water pump, tapping into the radiator (long distance in a cobra), into the top radiator hose, etc.

What I have not seen is it being plumbed back to the heater hose outlet. Whilst this could be an option it would be neater to go to the in-line filler neck.

I was thinking to tap into the inline filler at the highest point below the radiator cap. Or getting a filler cap made with a longer neck so there is room for this.

Anyway, I am wondering what other LS engine users have done, any pics would be great.

Cheers.
