Hey guys- 1st post.

Just about to finish my build and the insurance company is asking for an appraisal in order to have the 'agreed to value' listed on the policy.

They say they don’t need a licensed appraisal company , and can accept non-formal appraisals. What the heck does this mean?

Any suggestions? (Chicago area).
