redmt, I appreciate your comment. We'll see whether replacing the axle is necessary. I have had some input that simply bending the axle back into alignment is do-able.

I'm never that lucky. When I bend 'em they're usually
BENT. Most of the time it will be the right side front spindle from dropping the tire into potholes along the road.
