The simple answer is Yes, Ford Australia used the Cleveland motor in both 302 and 351 format from around 1970 until 1982/83. The blocks between 302 and 351 are the same and crank and rods can be interchanged each way with no problems at all. In NSW the year of manufacture is recorded in the RTA`s computer system and you may need to use the right years engine if transplanted to another car, ie You would need to use a later block if putting it into an XD falcon etc, mostly the difference is relating to the emissions ADR`s of 6/1976, i think for memory the later so called "Black motors" of the early 80`s had a slightly increased cylinder wall to water jacket clearence and the hole thru the block for the distributor shaft, also to drive the
oil pump was slightly bigger or smaller?? so an early distributor will not fit a later block or vice versa, but there are no real differences between the early or later block than that, like i said the biggest difference for people in NSW is the correlation between engine number and year of manufacture to satisfy that bloody RTA.
