This engine rebuilding thread sure took a left turn once I admitted I had split a windsor, and MIGHT be going L98.

Very funny .

Poor bloody Geof....keep trying Geof...I'm reading the stuff about your car...it's just got a bit of humour thrown in for good measure.

As far as the Ford engine , or at least a stroker , goes...

I have FINALLY learned the hard way, that if you're going to stroke a 302 windsor to a 347, then you MUST use either a Dart or Sportsman block....

The sideways stresses of the bigger swing of a 347 crank just doesn't play well with a standard block.

This is the second block I've split in two, and both times the lovely internals have escaped any injury....but what a pain in the backside to start again with another block.

Now, I've hijacked this thread....sorry about that....

Back to Geof's build.
