Default Technical: Pressing steel barbed fittings into 3/16" nylon tubing.

Gentlemen, I have an PA6 Nylon tubing 3/16's oil pressure line from Nisonger with the ends and female nuts made for the Smiths oil pressure gauge. It is a female flanged gasketed nut with a steel barbed fitting pressed into the PA6 nylon tubing. Needless to say the nylon tubing is very stiff and it does not expand easily. New technology. I called Peter at Nisonger to learn the procedure so I can cut the line, custom fit the length, and without enlarging the hole in my dash, press the fitting in myself. He said they come premade from Smiths.

I did searches but no accepted procedure outside of professional assembly. I understand many new high pressure fuel injections are using this nylon tubing over barbed fitting technology.

Anybody have experience in this ie heat/tools etc. ??
