Thanks for the guidance. Although I have been a member of this site for a while, I rarely visit because I didn't actually think I could afford a Cobra.

No, not looking for a racer or period correct. Looking for nice trouble free car with title that will allow antique plates, which I think this one will. Also, I have been looking for a 4-speed, lots of autos out there and I just don't want that in this kind of car.

Wish it had a hard top, but I guess those are hard to find and ugly too. I think I'd want to have the pipes coated, as is popular now. I would really like to put two carbs on it, maybe even one of the new Inglese injection units that sort of look like the old intakes. I am 64 and this is my last hurrah! I remember these when they were new on the showroom floor!

Prices have come down b/c of terrible economy. Of course, this isn't period correct car and I don't know how well it has been cared for. I am one of those people who may be affected by what is going on in DC, so I can't do anything right now. Alas.
