Read an article recently about the proliferation of Concours events around the country. For instance, Pebble Beach and Amelia Island are considered true blue concours shows.
Whats the measure of an event that wants to call itself a concours? Are there a certain number of 'important' cars that have to attend? Should there be a tour and auction and a perfectly manicured golf course or estate to display the cars?
Concours seems like a marketing tool to charge the participants more to participate and the spectators more to attend.
