Default Fuel tank sealer - any experieces?

Hi all. I was wondering what experiences you all may have had with fuel tanks sealers.

I am looking at this from a different perspective.

I have done some mods to the inside of my intake manifold using an aluminum filled refractory putty. Stuck like crazy, hard but ground /shaped well, good to 1000 deg and impervious to gas and oil etc.

I was wondering if it would be a good idea to coat the inside surfaces of the manifold with a sealer like Red Kote or POR15 etc.

I once read that one of Smokey Yunnick's tricks (which Nascar banned to this day) was to coat the inside of the intake manifold to increase flow. He claimed it was slipperier than porting/polishing and easier.

Any thoughts?

Greg
