My water pump gasket leak just got nastier.
I have a water leak (under pressure) is on the driver side, front cover at the water port, where it joins the block. I thought it was at the pump, but no.
Now I have to take the front over off and this is a new one to me. It looks like I have to pull the balancer and
oil pan. I'm not that unhappy since I also have a tiny but annoying
oil pan leak, so good time to fix it as well.
What do I need to know or look out for in the process? Any special ideas on getting the balancer off, other than normal.
The motor is a 418 Windsor, I think the block is date coded a '69, but can confirm if it helps.
