Although my ball drive SN-60 will never make over 6.5 lbs, it has lasted over 43,000 miles of mostly demanding driving and is still going strong. One reason for longevity is that we have better lubricants than back in the day: B & M Trick shift is truly impressive. Perhaps equally important is using a fluid cooler and frequent fluid changes.
