I also used the Summit solenoid. Splicing it into the front brake lines was about as easy as it gets. Run a low amp poer line through the switch and to the solenoid, and oyu're done. Pretty simple, really.

I use mine all the time: getting started on hills, loading into the trailer, etc. Very handy.

I initaially used that shifter ball with the switch built in. Looks cool, and very easy to use, especially with the standard goofy shifter arm angle. But, it didn't last very long. I replaced that with a Hurst button that has an elastic strap for the shifter arm. That has worked excellenty for years.
