I think Buzz is right. If it's purely a street car, driven reasonably responsibly, then either pad them or take them off. There have been more blunt force trauma incidents that I can remember than there have been flips on the street. The ERA down in Texas year before last that got flipped while showing off on a test drive comes to mind, but I don't recall the specifics of how that happened. I do remember everybody seemed to "clam up" about it after it occurred.
