I sent you a PM message earlier....Anyway...The two sensors tubes from the gauges to the engine area contain an ether like gas inside. If they are routed near a sparkplug wire, the cap, etc and a spark jumped to the tubes, the gauges could be toast. A microscopic hole from the spark (or sparks) compromises the brass tubing and the gas leaks out. They can be repaired, but the cost to replace them is just about the same…
Ususally the gauge starts to read low and then just stops working...When you remove them, you can test them in a pan of boiling water...but dead is dead...Give me a call or email if you have any questions.
