I was bored and read a bunch of it.
Decided to reinforce what you were saying just in a different way. Seems like you were trying getting jello to stick to a teflon coated wall.

Rick - you ought to try EMC. It is a great deal of fun and gets you to think out of the box. Way out. You come away with a new perspective regarding stuff that works, stuff that does not work, and stuff that makes no difference at all. Quite a few "givens" have been discounted or proven wrong in the challenge - the magazine coverage kinda steps around some of those.
You are aware that tunnel rams make awesome torque at 2500 RPM, and that velocity stacks really do work - right? Did you know that you can fuel inject a dual plane intake and get over 1.6HP/cube & 1.4 TQ/cube?

Undy's vette motor will do most of what he wants right from the factory - all he needs to do is emulate that sort of package. Oh wait - no EFI, old iron heads, smaller cubes....never mind....but a factory cam will go 7000....I've been wasting a lot of money on this fancy stuff.
