I read that article and looked at the pictures and came to about the same conclusion. By the time you got it built and then got through the darn SB-100 number process out here you could have bought a real old restored one and not have the problems of building it and then trying to get this state to register it as a Special Construction Vehicle.

Nonetheless, a body-shell at $15K (+ shipping) will certainly put you upside down on the restoration. I'd rather just buy a restored one with an original VIN number.
But I am a cheap consumer (with years of experience in the early Mustang).
