Rear tire is a bit over 25" and the current rear gear is 3.10, with a 5th overdrive of 0.82. I'm changing the rear gear to 3.46 or 3.55, still making up my mind. I use the car mostly for local cursing and a bit of highway driving and of course a 2nd or 3rd run up once in a while. Of note, the 3.10 rear gear/25" tire was a dream with the TKO600 1st gear being really useful and the 0.82 5th still had great pulling ability with the power this motor made. Lowering the rear gear might make it come to life a bit more, but I also worry about screwing up a pretty good combination for the way I use the car.

Sounds like you have a really nice set-up and enjoy the car for what you do with it. I'm not making any suggestions to changes, but would suggest you think about what you do with it and how satisfied you are with the set-up "as is", then decide how it would be better for YOUR intended usage and make changes accordingly......
