Yes both are very nice engine and Gary's is carbureted. The stack injection might have made a little more power and would have made more torque but quite a bit more money.
You would use a bigger throttle body on the FE enigne because it is bigger. TWM said that we had pretty maxed out the ones on the small block at that power level. The FE engine would have a much broader torque and power band. The small block is lighter and would rev a little quicker maybe.
This is why we do both engines. The torque the FE makes down low is pretty harry in the car for sure. I think either one would be enough for most people.
